Quick question for G wagon experts.....
I came across a 1985 280 ge 5 door truck.
The vehicle is white with the upgraded interior package. The vehicle has the 5 speed transmission. It has 16000 documented miles and is currently in a car collection. I know it could be bought for 20k. Is this priced correctly? Thanks for reading. |
20K is OK if it is in excellent shape (and it sounds like it is)...anything lower than that I'd consider it a good buy.
I'm currently looking at a 2003 G500 with almost 100K on it ...the seller is asking 23,500 for it, which seems kinda low compared to others around this year... |
The old 6cylinder and smaller euro models always seem to pull some extra niche money. With an early US truck you're getting a hell of a lot more truck for your dollar, but you're also buying a lot more electronics and repair bills down the road.
I think its hard to compare a 460/461 directly to a 463. 16,000 documented miles, rust free, already stateside, sounds like a good buy to me. I've seen people looking for mid to high teens for 100k mile trucks rust free in Ohio. But why not try to get it for 18? |

Personally, I would say $15k tops; and $10k would be a more realistic number. |
Thanks
Thanks for the replies ......
