2001 ml 320 door locks
 

got a rear door lock that just keeps clicking and won't lock is there any saving it or $236 for a new one

I have a 99 ML 320 with a machine gun lock on the front passenger door. My local dealer wanted $267 (plus tax) for replacement. I Googled the part number (163-720-28-35) and found it for about $180 delivered from factoryoemparts.com

Just ordered yesterday so don't know how well they'll do as a supplier or how difficult the repair is.

well got the door lock fixed, you do not have to drill rivets out of window guide to change lock but found out the hard way about unplugging air bag, took it to dealer to reset srs light there is a bulletin but no recall on the wiring harness to the tune of $350+
