Unexpected crack in d pillar plastic, how???
Hi, I have a 2000 ML430. Now I dont know how this happened, but last weekend I washed the car so I am positive this crack appeared in the last few days. I am referring to the passenger side D pillar, thats the one between the rear hatch and the fixed side window. There is a plastic capping which has cracked horizontally from one side to the other. Now I know I have not hit it, and there are no signs of anyone hitting it, no scratches, no dents, nothing but a hairline crack runnig across it. Has anyone else experienced this????

This is a known problem and should be covered by MBUSA. This problem is fixed when reattaching new trim by using plenty of adhesive.

Yes...i have a 2001 ML320. Didn't have it for more than 4 months. I didnt have a crack, but the whole plastic panel just fell off. This car has given me hell. I have had this damn car in the shop over 10 times. What a lemon. It drives and feels like an american truck.
I just went to the dealer and complained, they gave me a free keychain. whoopee... |
Thanks guys, I always like to go into the dealer armed
