2002 ml 320 power steering grinding or cavitating and humming

My power steering pump seems to be grinding and humming.I suspect the pump is bad it has oil and the belt seems tight. Was wondering about various rebuilt parts which one is best. Also can these units be rebuilt and if so where do I get a kit to rebuild it.Thanks

If the fluid is full check to see if the fluid is foaming while turning the wheel. If it is, the screen in the reservoir may be restricted.

Ok took off belt found pump pulley bearing has lots of play.I was able to move it a good amount and it seems to be the pump shaft that's moving.I ordered a pump .
