The Donner Party

For those of you who have taken their ML's into the snow, this story won't surprise you.

This past Friday I tried to cross from Sacramento to Reno during a brief storm that caught many drivers by surprise. Too many tried to make over without chains and ended up on the side of the road. Lot's of people were getting stuck. The result was a two hour trip took five hours! My friend who was waiting for me in Reno and checking the satellite pictures thought I might have suffered the same fate as some of our pioneers.

With cars spinning out of control around me, the ML passed through the melee flawlessly and safely I might add! Not to mention all the stuck traffic I and other four wheeler's bypassed!

Just one more reason to love my ML....

Did you see any Donner stumps?

I did something like that with a diesel I had; drove it through very deep water past many stalled cars and several stalled trucks. Even though I didn't get out I still got my feet wet
