Will 2 Great Danes fit in a g wagon?

New to this forum and forums in general. I've been wanting a new SUV and always loved the look of g wagons (only seen one in person). I currently drive an 89 landcruiser, before that I had a 72 gmc jimmy, various range rovers, a landrover discovery and those were all great but the g wagon is my current interest. Can the rear seats be removed and be large enough for two Great Danes? Or is there a model of the g wagon that is more spacious? I love in Washington state. Thanks all.

Almost all the G wagons you will find will be the 4 door wagons. All US G-wagons are 4 door wagons, and most of the ones that get imported from Europe are 4 door wagons. 2 door hard tops and 2 door cabriolets exist in Europe and some have been imported but that is a step in the wrong direction in terms of size.

I can't comment on the dogs fitting, but if the G wagon you've seen has 4 doors, thats about as big as they get.

G wagons are actually at the smaller end of your scale of previous vehicles, they are not particularly huge vehicles, very versatile though.

Might be worth a trip to your local dealer with a tape measure and see what you think.

Thank you DieselPaul. I'm leaning towards the 2006 jeep discovery in black. Roomy and still my boxy liking.

"Re-Engined"

"I currently drive an 89 landcruiser."
TANK !!!
Forget the Whole European SUV foolishness...
THINK hard about a NEW Turbo-Diesel Engine for that Barely broken in "War Wagon"!

Look up how many TD Landcruisers the U.N. owns!
AND where they operate them!

Properly maintained the TD LC will far outlast anything out of Europe.
AND costs are substantially lower
(EVEN if you've got to get someone to do the conversion for you!)

The Pacific Northwest is considered G country (Lots of owners in your area!) From your description you may want to look into finding a Kastenwagen. (A two door long wheelbase van)

I only know of one for sale at the moment and it requires shipping.

It was tight, but we have had 3 Danes in the back of an 2002 G500.

Was a little hectic, but the dogs didn't seem to mind.

The seats in my lc agitate my back terribly (I know I can replace) but the steering is pretty loose, just loose enough to keep me from driving long distances on freeway. I dunno, I love my landcruiser but... Id be a lot more mobile if I was comfortable.
