Unhappy 2002 ML320 Odd Problem. Please help.

Hi Everyone- I would appreciate the help of a top mechanic for my 2002 ML320. I am puzzled.
The problem is that in the morning it kicks the CEL for cyl 3 after driving 1/4 mile. I have changed many times: plugs, wires, coil and injector. Checked continuity from the #3 cyl back to computer. Also changed the fuel filter/regulator. Swapped out the MAF, crank sensor and cam sensor just on a whim. When the car runs, you don't even hear it. After about 1/2 I can take it on the highway and go 70 mph and it will not kick any codes. Compression on that cyl 160, fuel line pressure 55. Changed out all breather and vacuum lines. Any help greatly appreciated. Please feel free to call me if you would like 9 zero eight, 4 5 one-4400. Thank you. Michael. I am in NJ.

Are you sure you don't have bad gas? And...

For bad gas run down you gas tank and put in known good gas see CEL come on again.

And does your ML thinks you are breaking even when your are not. There is a $20 sensor at the break peddle that goes bad all the time best way to tell is if your break light is on all the time? Another indicator is that your cruise control don't work any more.

I encountered this problem only once when I was in the dealership so take this with a grain of salt.. The flywheel had adapted improperly to the crank sensor. Performing the adaption thru SDS, solved a misfire within the first minute of operation when operated under load.
