Sprinter question
We own a '19 Sprinter 144", low roof, 4wd, aux battery, cargo set-up (D-rings / rails mid and roof)
We have an Ebersparcher S-2 heater installed under pasenger pedistal, works great will maintain 70* in the back when it's -35* outside. Mission has changed for the next year, converting to camper van. Installed 6 circuit fuse box tied to aux battery, added LED lights in the back, 12 volt cooler, 4 amp battery tender, and a queen size platform with storage underneth. My question to the sprinter experts. Is there any way to disable the lights in the back that come on when a door is opened? Most annoying when one of us has to use the WC in the middle of the night. |

Remove the bulbs in the offending lights?

Sealed LED, maybe they are fed from a fuse that will not affect anything else.
Ideal solution would be to reprogram the vans computer, and when we switch back to cargo mode turn them back on. |

Finished ceiling? Can you get the wiring and install a switch?

As near as I can tell the cargo area lights are tied into the CAN buss, like everything else on a modern vehicle. Really don't want to risk unintended gremlins, caused by messing with the OEM wiring.
There is always the old old school method, tape over the offending lights. |
