Balancer repair

Just received my letter from MB today on this item; can take it into MB garage for check/replacement of the balancer. Mine appears to be OK, but I wouldn't object to having a new one put on, since I plan to keep the car for quite a while. BC

Just got our letter, but a preliminary check based on someone else's information led me to find that our part number was not affected.

Yes, after reading the full post referred to earlier, I am going to check the p/n on both mine and my girl friend's 99ML's. If they are not one of the two to be replaced and the balancers look AOK -- I won't take the time and trouble to put them in the MB shop ..... BC
