Help in cleaning the trim around windows..
I'm not the original owner of my 1999 ml 430, and when i picked up my vehicle i noticed the trim around the windows were discoloured, or whitish, probably old built-up wax... I've tried for months to remove all this build-up...It goes away intially, but it always returns.... I've also seen this problem on other ML's.... any advice on how to remove this stuff for good....or any good products to use...thanks...

Maybe someone else here has dealt with this problem, there is another forum here for detailing cars, maybe you could ask there also.

As ridiculous as it may sound, those of us that visited the "Detailing" forum swear by...
...peanut butter!!! Actually, peanut oil does wonders! Needless to say, most of the posts in that thread have become "tongue-in-cheek" responses... |
OK G Benz
I am planning on giving Mrs TimH's ML320 a clean up this weekend although it is never very dirty anyway. However, in an effort to impress, I can stress the cleanliness of the window surrounds if I do a good job (anything to get points) I really hpe that I am not going to be the butt of jokes if I really try the peanut butter trick. Are you guys SURE that it works?? 99 ML320 98 Range Rover |
Yes, it DOES work...Armor-All is too messy for that sort of thing!
...and the jokes stem from mostly keeping the local critters from eating the rubber off your MB... |
