feedback thru steering wheel

I have a '00 ML55 with 33k miles. I'm getting what feels like rough feedback thru the steering wheel at very low speed (below 10 mph), almost feels like a wheel bearing or something. Anyone else experienced this?

Only with the steering wheel cranked all the way left or right. Feels like something's grabbing, maybe the front CV joints at their limits?

inspect your tires for belt separation. it can cause a low speed wobble in the wheel.
