AutoPark 2000

I received my AutoPark 2000 just today. The installation is very simple but I have a little concern. I decided to put the autopark under spare tire bracket which is located under the bumper. Then I can run the wire inside the bumper up until it reaches either left or right of the rear lenses. My concern is I do not know where and how to tap the wire of the reverse light . I NEED YOUR SUGGESTION AND EXPERTISE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

I'd try tapping into the wiring inside the left 1/4 panel (rear fender) where the pre-wiring is for the trailer hitch connection, or maybe just at the left tail lamp socket. There is a rubber plug you should be able to cut a small slit into to get the wiring up into this area. You should be able to see this plug by laying under the left side of the rear bumper, it has a little stick hanging down, it's an oval or "racetrack" shaped plug. There is a plastic panel on the inner trim inside the truck that you can remove so hopefully you can get everything hooked up from there. Problelm will be finding the right wires. I can probably help you identify which wires to use, but it'll be next week.

ps Yes you'll be better off with that location, or else you'd need to get wires from the 1/4 panel area into the tailgate somehow, probably have to go to one of the conduits that the factory uses up by the hinge.
