need driver's mirror for ML...

Hey-

Need a driver's door mirror for a '98 ML320. Wife managed to back out of garage "by feel". Nice.

Anyway, anyone got an extra? Or, know of a good 'used' source? Or, reasonable 'non-stealer' source?

Any suggestions appreicated, TIA.

$100 US

at dealer, that is not bad price! its a big mirror, You don't even have to paint it since its for a 98 ML, you know painting it alone is at least $80 canadian! just get it off dealer.. make your wife pay for it haha, you learn from your lessons!

mirror replacement

Thanks Tabo. Good to know it's not a typical ludicrously $$$ MB part... for once.

Any other suggestions also welcome, just for giggles.

Also, anyone have any tips on the R&R procedure? Like to DIY...

Thanks again!

Simple...

take out inner mirror cover (just held on by clips use a screwdriver to pry it out, than remove 3 bolts... than unplug harness, than pull it out.. note: there will be some foam, just break it until the harness comes out than put the new one it, don't make it too tight or the plastic on the outside will rip! EASY!

Same thing just happened here with our 1998 ML320. My wife backed out of the garage and broke the passenger side mirror.

MB gave me a body shop price of >$200. Where did you guys get the $100 price?

Thanks!

I seen them go for $90US on ebay...

Check EBAY, they don't always have for the ML but they occasionally do...

Man! The price must have escalated on that mirror in the past two years. I just paid $400 for one from a salvage yard and I had trouble even finding one.
