Exclamation A couple of undesireable dash lights and CV replacement question

Noticed today after the ABS, ETS, and Check engine light illuminated today, the ML needs some attention as two issues need addressed.

One, the ETS sensor wire was too close to the CV boot and rubbed the insulation through enough to sever the sensor wire.

Two, the left rear outer CV boot is in two pieces and needs replaced. Lots of grease has been spewed. ARGH.

Summation:

Replacing the sensor wire isn't an issue however swapping the CV boot seems to be a pretty fun task.

Question:

Anyone have experience/tips on changing a $76 CV boot?
