Good experience in Manchester NH

I had my '88 560 SL recently serviced at Amoskeag European on Front Street in Manchester, NH and they did very good work in my opinion. The car needed timing chain, guides and tensioner as well as a set of motor mounts and radiator. After the work was done the engine is smooth and powerful and I don't have any complaints at all. They have tons of MB experience apparently and do major and minor work in-house. They even provide loaner cars so if you come a longer distance (as I did) you don't have to arrange for a ride. So, even from Boston it is worth the trip as the quotes I was getting for the timing chain from Mass shops was about 30-50% higher while the (theiving dealer was 2X the price) and there's no sales tax in NH!

Their phone number is 603-669-7750 and the owner's name is Pat.

Yes! I second your opinion. Had very good experience with transmission flush and brake job.

Also, their loaner cars are C class MBs! Very nice indeed. :D

Great shop, great people, great work

I took Marty's suggestion and visited these guys. Now, Marty's been a great source of information (whether he knows it or not) for me, but he definitely hit this one out of the park. The fact that they have an MB 'mule' as it's affectionately known in the shop, if you need it is a wonderful addition. Anyone who has had mediocre attention at shops in the past really should give these folks a shot. I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Thanks Marty!!!

Another happy Amoskeag customer

Excellent work, really nice people. Talk to Brian; he certainly knows my W123 inside and out. Can't recommend Amoskeag highly enough.

I'm going to give them a call to see how much they would charge for a center vacuum element replacement. I live in Bedford and work in Manchester so it'd be nothing for me to bring it over to them.
