Thumbs up Heinz @ Eurocars, Inc. Fair Lawn

Yes, I use Heinz. My wife's boss referred us to him. He helped me buy my first BMW and keeps it running like it is just off the showroom floor. His suggestions are practical and he is SO MUCH less expensive than the BMW stealership service department closest to us. We trust his advice and will continue to use him. He even helped bring my friend's ancient Mercedes 450SL convertible back into running condition. I don't know where he got the parts, but it is a great beach ride.

Eurocars / Heinz in Fair Lawn. 2 yrs later He's either a thief or incompetent!

Well first off he's moody and fixes things without your permission.
Not big things, but small enough that you won't put up too much of a fight.
But that's not enough to get on here and bad mouth him.
This past spring I took my 1995 E300D to him because it was making a grating noise in the rear end when you accelerated hard.
After showing him the noise he said he would have to go over the car.
He came up with a list of things the car needed in addition to fixing the noise.
It was supposed to be $2500.
After a few days I called to ask if he was done and he said he had a few items left.
I needed the car so I told him to stop.
When I came in to get the car he had some excuse why the price was still $2500 even though he didn't do all the work.
The worst part was that the trans problem wasn't fixed. I called him and he said. Yeah... I couln't fix it.
I took it to AutoSumser and their mechanic drove it around the block once and told me the 1st gear was shot and I needed a trans repair or rebuild.
So I paid $2500 for him to fix a whole bunch of stuff I didn't want to fix.
