Question phoney alert...

Hello fellow forum posters,

The question for today has to do with insincerety...

Does anyone ever get the feeling that there are person(s) posting on this site:

1.)phoney repair problems...

2.)phoney repair solutions...

Just checking/testing to give others a "heads-up" in case they did not notice...

Thanks.

I typically disregard any transmission repair advice that starts with "Find out a cheap place to get bananas . . ."

No need for me to find a place that has cheap banana's.... there are plenty of areas in my neck of the woods. But a banana seller that does transmission work is a bit fishy

Bananas/transmissions???

Years ago an old timer mentioned putting finely ground sawdust into an automatic tranny to make it quit slipping...

Must of been one of the pre-filtered trannys?

Could not imagine how the sawdust would make its way through a good filter, and into the valve body, and onward to the clutch packs to cease and desist the slipping/flaring... as the old gold miners use to say "something does not quite pan out"...

Not the type of fix-it that I would like to try/rely on...

But I had other scenarios of phoney/bogus questions bouncing around my head...

To post at a later time?
