Not a politician, had to get a job...

Thanks to a looming teacher's strike (meaning little or no income for us) and an "offer I couldn't refuse" I accepted a consulting contract that ends in December of this year. It means I won't have time for the fall election, but I will make a fairly sustantial amount of moolah.

I hate to "take the money" over other things in my life, but this is the first real money I will have earned in five years. My daughter starts school in September, and this will free up the time I need for the work.

Now the argument over the spending of the money begins...

Me: "Z-06"

Her: "Landscaping"

Me: "Z-06"

Her: "Landscaping"

Together: "Invest for the future..."

You: "But Helen, the Z-06 is an investment...landscaping will only die".

......or use the Z-06 do to some landscaping. Just back up the Z-06 on the yard, floor it, and let the posi-traction do it's thing. You'll have decorative strips all over the lawn. Perfect for randomly place, parallel flower beds.

Well, I have an inkling that those suggestions won't "fly" but what do I have to lose?

A friend of mine is waiting with great anticiaption for the C6 Vette Z-06, and will be selling his C5 Z-06 the moment he can order the C6 version. His car is superb and I would LOVE to buy it. Whenever I start talking about it, I am reminded that I own one of the fastest street-legal vehicles on the planet already. Well, I would be willing to sell the 'Busa for a Z-06!

It's kind of a fun spot to be in. In the past whenever we had a sudden surge of funds, it went to debt. This no-debt thing is kinda weird!

BTW, we're too far north for larches. The Bow Summit is as north as they grow. It's neat when you're hiking right from Banff to Jasper as the Larches just plain end at a point, and are not found another foot north.
