Have never posted a political thread, but my wife asked me tonight why they did not have the troubles in Boston, like they are having in New York already. Hon, I said, those were Democrats, these are Republicans. It did get me to wondering though,,,,, why is the violence so prevelent on the left? I can't remember when the Republicans blocked traffic, and broke windows and caused major disorder. Is there a parallel here? Just wondering, but not too much,,, I'm going to watch the Bristol race.

I haven't seen any reports of violence. On the right, they just bomb abortion clinics and federal buildings full of kids, and send fake anthrax to birth control clinics. Other than that, their lunatic fringe is pretty peaceful.

Don't forget the far far far right millitia's(sp?) that run around playing army and want to destroy the US government.

Amen to that...I've run across a similar group in San Francisco once. This was compounded by the fact that I had just gotten off a 12 hour shift and was trying to get to the base of operations...which was right by Pac Bell Park...during the World Series, just as a game was beginning...

Wound up sitting in traffic for over an hour just to get past their traffic jam (and another hour or so in stadium traffic)...to say the least, I was incensed...

There are nuts on both sides. The post that started this thread targets violence as some kind of Democrat trait. Ugly is as ugly does.

Those people were criminals. They only became famous because in each case the government botched the job of arresting them. The left was brutally supressed in this country by the entire authority apparatus all thru the 70s and early 80s.

I'm glad the left has a savior like you to protect their interests. Meanwhile, I don't remember any political conventions going on at Oklahoma or abortion clinics,,, et al. Was Mcveigh a republican?
