Bike rack(s)?

I've got an 86 300SDL and would like to get a bike rack for it. I was wondering what others are using on their Mercedes. Whatcha got?

I've got an 86 300SDL also. The only way to go is to have a trailer hitch installed, I got mine done at U-Haul for @$215 3 years ago and get a hitch mounted bike rack. The bike will never get near the paint and it's super easy to remove the whole assembly. I found a used bike rack for $50 in my local want ads.

************************ has a bike rack that attaches to the license plate mount and clips to the forward edge of the trunk lid. I don't have a bike rack.

Cool! I always wanted to put my Yamaha or a Harley on the back of a car...

I do that too. The flip side of my trailer hitch is that I also have a motorcycle trailer and tow my Suzuki on it. Helps win "The most toys" argument.

LK1, how's that hitch mounted to the car? Is that the one where it bolts to the bumper's underside?

I'd have to go look but if I recall correctly it's bolted to the rear frame and trunk underside. With the hitch removed the only thing you see is the square tube where the hitch slides in.
