I hate windows
Why... does windows not automatically recognize the directory you're currently working from?
How the hell do you type in the path of the file you want to upload in winftp?

Are you referring to the shareware program, WinFTP? If so, the issue concerns a poorly written utility rather than your OS.

As far as I know it came with XP. Does XP come with its own ftp client?

Google WinFTP and you'll see who the authors are. You know how it is. PC manufacturers always include a handful of third-party utilities with their PCs. XP does not include an FTP client, but there are lots of them around.

Well the one I'm using is here:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ftp.exe Looks just like *nix ftp except for the stupid filename thing which threw me.
