How many hours of sleep do you get?

"They" say you're supposed to get 8 hours a night. Heck, I haven't had an 8-hour sleep night in years. A good night for me is 6. Just wondering if anyone actually does the 8 hours.

Rick, I think you'll find that those lazy dems take about 12 hours sleep a day.

I need at least eight hours, preferably 10. I've also noticed I'm from the wrong planet and need a daylength of about 25 hours - I gradually stay up later and later, as if the day is too short. Maybe it's because I'm sleeping too long...

Cool

I usually get about 4-6 hours during the week and sleep late on weekend (8 or 9 am)

I seem to need 8 and a half hours, any less and I feel groggy and act like a bear with a sore head.

I get 5 hours every day. Oh -- and then 7 every night. The only time I'm not tired is when I'm sleeping.

6 or so. Never more than 8 in my life, even when I was a druggie.

That's what happens to me if I try and get too much, like take a nap. I feel worse.

Yeah, kind of a lame subject here. But I'm desperate

I know that's a big part of my prob. I don't work out. Everytime I try anymore, I get too many joint probs. Have a nasty case of bursitis in my left shoulder right now from my last attempt to get some excercise last spring.
Sucks getting old Glucosimine has helped a bunch though.

I do want to try yoga...soon as I can get enough space in my house to do it. Too many projects in the way right now.

If I don't get seven hours a night, I'm useless the next day. That said, sometimes I get 6, and sometimes 8.

During the work week I manage 5.5 hours, give or take. Weekends I have been snapping awake at 0700, no matter what time I rack out. Right now during recuration I'm getting a solid 8.5 everynight but feel like I slept too much.

I need 8 hours, but rarely get it. When I'm not traveling, I average about 6 hours / night. With twin babies, you never really get to sleep anymore.

It's amazing how much abuse the body can take, though. When I first started traveling to the east coast, I would only get 4 - 5 hours of sleep / night, and feel like a walking zombie. I thought I would never be able to handle it, and the first 6 months thought of quitting my job. But eventually, my body became accustomed to it, and even though I do feel sleep deprived, I am able to function at a pretty normal level.
