Or the "root" of the issue quickly. As a highschooler playing football, one day during practice we were caught by the coach paying attention to the cheerleaders practicing. The coach admonished us, giving us a bit of his sage wisdom by saying "That is the root of all evil" to which our quarterback responded "Well, I'd sure like to get my root into some of that evil!"

Dave, the QG did laps for a while that day, but eventually managed his goal. Jim

I've had a vasectomy so I have been assured of eternal perdition by the Catholics and guaranteed immortality by the Taoists.

Stevie's Spanking
-Frank Zappa

His name is Stevie Vai,
And he's a crazy guy
Last November, I recall,
He needed a spanking

He decided then
A female specimen
Would be exciting for a night
To give him a spanking

Laurel was her name
She came to Notre Dame
He told me just the other night
He oughta be thanking
Her for the spanking

She was large and soft
And she beat him off
Made him drool upon his dork
And gave it a wanking
After the spanking

Hair brush!
Oh! What a hair brush!

Then did she exclaim:
"There's another game
That we can play with this device,
And then a banana!"

It was slightly green
Vapors in between
Rising up to fill the room
And COOK the banana

Later in the dawn,
Laurel carried on
Got right up and dressed herself and
Ate the banana

I'm thinking of getting one myself. Easier and safer than the pill, anything to worry about?

Hahaha....

During the many, many years I have spent touring and playing music, I have committed far MORE than my fair share of "immoral acts".... I am a devout Catholic's worst nightmare.

Not to my knowledge. It was virtually pain free. They tell you to have a bag of frozen peas to put on your scrotum afterwards and prescribe mild pain killers. I needed neither. A friend had it done and it failed the first time. Had to have a second operation. I think they failed to cut both of the vas deferens (?).
I highly recommend it. I believe our sex life improved as a result of not having to worry about the effectiveness of other forms of birth control. To that extent, I do agree with the sexual conservatives. There is a fair amount of difference between sex that cannot be reproductive and sex that can but I think the non-reproductive kind is superior.

I've had both, and now that I have kids and a vasectomy, I prefer the non-reproductive kind as well.

I know this will sound bizzare--but yes. In Aristotle's sense. I think the fact that we did not have to worry about conception, reduced a kind of subconscious stress, and sex became less inhibited and more experimental. So in Aristotle's sense of of 'moral', which is to live the fullest and most excellent human existence, yes, I think non-reproductive sex is more moral.

I can't remember the article or author anymore, but years ago I read an essay by a sexual conservative arguing that laws prohibiting homosexuality were good because gay sex was better (for a number of reasons, including the fact that males know how to pleasure other males better than females, and that it was more self-indulgent) resulting in the fact that if men ever had gay sex, they'd be less likely to go back to straight sex.
I guess, despite the fact that I disagree with the policy towards gays, I now think there is something to that argument and it applies to some degree to straight sex that is reliably non-reproductive.

If it's true it seems that it is likely that 200 years from now, children will be given a permanent contraception in their youth, but will be able to use their own sperm and eggs to conceive in a lab non-sexually.

You’re missing my point. More specifically my "e".

Edit: (Although you're answer seems to apply fairly well to the question anyway.)
