Lightbulb What is your greatest point of pride?

What in your life are you most proud of? It could be a spouse, child, degree, discovery, personal or professional achievement, anything at all.

For me it's a three way tie --

my daughter
successfully scaling the Bastille (world renowned rock climb)
quitting smoking (3 years this Jan)

Without wishing to troll, the quote 'Pride and stupidity grow on the same bush' came to mind. I think this is from a US writer, but I couldn't recall who exactly, so I tried to google it, but it didn't work. Wonder why...

I think this side of the pond 'pride' has a diffent meaning - it's more like a smug, 'aren't I clever' thing.

Sorry being too negative here. I'll pick a self-pride one as a penance: my stupidity in not being Machiavellian when it would have obviously paid off, many times.

There you are, what a w**nker.
