(1) You can tell a girl likes you when she dips your ponytail in her inkwell... oh wai-

(2) Never get your bread and your meat at the same place. Don't fish off the company pier. Don't mix business with pleasure. OMG you're being sued for sexual harassment! Need I say more?

Seriously, be very cautious dating someone you work with. It happens; where else can you meet and get to know members of the opposite sex? But there really are many ways for it to misfire, so you need to stay discreet and agree on how things are going to proceed more carefully than perhaps you otherwise would. And if one of you reports to the other, or in the future is likely to, don't even go there.

there are so many ways... what makes you think that she does????

As to dating a co-worker... well there are so many ways this can turn out to be bad... but i wish you luck...

I've all but given up with dating. So far i've gone 11 months without a girlfriend and still happy about it, less stress it seems. That being said 90% of my friends happen to be female.

Playing with her hair when she talks to you is a sure sign that she's feeling

NEVER, I have seen that too many times and caused problems you could not believe when it fell apart. And it caused one to end up fired for misconduct.

On a recent episode of "Scrubs" . . . J.D. was trying to determine if the lawyer was coming on to him, so he told a really lame joke to see if she would laugh at it. Of course, I don't remember the joke, just Dr. Cox's invented word: I've gagged and vomited at the same time . . . I've gavomited!

I'm with you, just broke up with my bf this past weekend, and am ready to be not-dating for a while. And most of my friends are male, so there you go

OK: How to tell if someone likes you (aside from passing them a note asking them if they like you, and if so check the 'yes' box, heh heh):
* she will go out of her way to make conversation with you; come and visit your desk, ask you questions about topics she could as easily ask others about, instant-message you, etc.
* in group situations, she will gravitate towards you more than to other people.
* she will look away when you look at her, or she may make more eye contacft than typical.
* touching her hair, swinging her hair around, etc, when you are watching.
* she mentions pointedly to you that she isn't dating anyone (and no, I wasn't hitting on you up there, I'm certain you're too young for me )
* she seems unusually giggly or silly around you.

That's all I have.

Aside from Mr. Limpet, one of the treasured Don Knotts film classics

Since we're into this somewhat, my parents always have been concerned that I would miss my early childhood as I would always rather hang with adults or older people instead of children my age. I've been playing in cars since I could walk and did my first solo oil change at 10, while my peers were catching bugs and such.

SO, who's the boss? :p

First, on dating someone from work. If she does not work for YOU and does not report to you in her job, but instead had a totally separate chain of command, it is OK (Unless there is some draconian company policy against it). In fact, I've read that the majority of people meet at or through work these days. (IMO, we spend too much time there.)

Then, how to know if she likes you. Difficult question. Best answer I know is this. If she shows an interest in you, your advocations, and interests, she REALLY likes you. I mean, long term. But if she does things like hair flipping, attempts to look sexy, and making suggestive comments (without the things formerly mentioned above), then view her as a temporary sort of matter, and don't be dissapointed when it turns out that way.

Hope this helps,
Richard
