Hot Seat!

My 2000 MlL drive side heat element just burned through my leather! Have any of you heard of this happen with recent MB's? I am now looking for a used parchment leather seat bottom. Any ideas?

Yes, I have seen several ML seat heater pads get a hot spot like this. I don't recall seeing one burn through the pad, but I've seen the cushion (foam) part get pretty toasted-looking, and yeah you can really feel that hot-spot.

OK- I am missing something. Is there a law suit out there on this issue?

I've never heard of a lawsuit on this particular to the ML, just the one MTI linked you to on the Jeep.
