Where's the best place to sell a diamond ring?

I've had this diamond ring for 19 years from a defunct engagement, gathering dust. I'd like to covert it to cash. What's the best way to go about it? Who'd likely give me the most money for it?

Think I'd list it in the paper, or on eBay with a reasonable reserve, if I were you. Or have it melted down and turned into something you yourself would wear. After 19 years, it's not as though you're losing anything.
