Listen to thiss sh**!!!

I pull in my drivway after school like always, hear a noise on my drivers side window and theres my neighbors pittbull with paws (nails on my car) i looked at it and it started waging its tail, then it slid off. I live in a nice area, and my neighbors are ghetto atleast there children are. I was ready to shot that p.o.s.. A- there illegal if not in a cage with a fenced in yard B- Must have an 100,000 dollar insurance policy and C-Cage to put it in. Now there parents are nice but there kids are 24 and older one pregnant and often have guys over that look like no good. I worked for a police department for a short time i know what no good looks like. So if I make a complaint or say call there insurance and let them know they let a pitbull run around, i have to worry about my two labs, and if you know labs there not fighters.

they moved.

I own a pitbull, a real sweet dog unless you mess with her, not too uncommon with any breed. The problem is that their jaws, neck and chest are amazingly strong and that they will NOT give up -- as in fight until the death. There's also the issue of the owner: Many either teach the aggression purposely or NOT work with the dog and let it "rule the roost", which spells trouble. Pits need to be led, not lead --

Overall my dog is much more docile than the others in our area. I rescued her from the humane society, so 6 years of her life is a mystery. Because of this, I never let her near kids, strangers or other dogs without strict supervision.

Shooting it is an option, but make darn sure life and limb are jeopardy. There's also the issue of firing a weapon in a public area. I'm sure some of the lawyers here could better address this subject.
Dog was growling at you and trying to attack....the dog was unrestrained....

one neighbor who threatened to shoot them if they were seen on his property has 3 small kids.....UNDER 10 years old. One a toddler.

Saw dog in my yard once......was real loud on Deck saying if dog is seen a second time dog was going to be shot. Never happened again. THey sold and moved last month.

who's dog hasn't gotten out before? If it's not vicious, walk it home. If it is call animal control. For the life of me I can not understand the cultural mentality that says we have to call the cops for every minor nuisance that intrudes in our lives.

ok

Listen up, this is an ongoing problem and iv seen the dog turn vicious once, it went nutz. Not to mention I once went to a call were a pit bull had ripped a kids foot off, so im a little hesitant about it running around little kids, call me crazy. I never say anything but when it hops on the Benz its game over.

OK, I'm listening, but it's a text format, so I'm not hearing anything but the cooling fan of my computer.

I'm sorry it's game over. I understand pit bulls are often very strong in the fourth quarter and was expecting a good comeback.

Shoot the dog, shoot your neighbors, call the cops and shoot them, I don't care.

The wife and I were walking back from the park with our dogs and a pit came out from some bushes and got nose to nose with our dog, both of them growling. We backed away and the pit stayed put. We called animal control, who didn't pick up. We called the cops, who said to call animal control. I told them we did that with no luck. They said they don't respond to animal calls, which is really funny because we just had about 4 pit bull attacks within the last year, one of them fatal. I told them "Hey, there was a small child playing in the front yard a few doors down, your call"

Never did see a cop.

I took to driving really fast up and down that street

We have a big problem with them in Houston, because every tattooed loser with a nose ring has to have one in the apartment he is about to be kicked out of. They end up hungry strays after Jazzy Jeff can't pay the rent. A lot of joggers and people at public parks are packing heat because of the problem. If I see one come on my property, I'll shoot him. I just can't take the risk with two small children and a dog that cost me $400 bucks. What else can you do? If you call Animal Control or the cops, they just push you off.

The wife has made the observation that every pit bull owner at the dog park is the same guy. White, black or hispanic, doesn't matter, same tattoos, same hair cut, same clothes, it's like the dog brings out the white trash in everyone who owns one no matter what their ethnicity.

yeah, i second the 12 gauge, "pepper his ass" approach....no sense in killing an otherwise harmless animal, just for scratching some paint....just make sure the neighbors are fully aware that you have a big problem with this dog being on your property...after that, GAME ON! ive had dealings with pits a couple of times, even owned a couple....but ive also killed them for attacking livestock...pits, in general, are more prone to attack other dogs, but dont let near a kid...theres just not one id trust enough, especially with those jaws...ive seen firsthand what they can do...a 2-3 year old kid wouldnt last 5 seconds....just be careful, and do what you think is right, every situation is different....use your better judgement
