Weird foot prints

After the 8" of snow we got over the weekend, I found some really strange foot prints in my back yard. I wonder if anyone of you is hunter and may know kind of animal this may be.

Since I don't have picture, so I do my best to describe them. They are about men's shoes size 7, with four distinctive sharp claw marks in the front. The distance between the prints are about two feet apart and they are in one straight line. I don't believe they are from dogs, but I cannot imagine they are bear prints. Whatever it is, it seems to walk upright and weights about 100 pounds based on the depth of the prints. The prints came out from the woods, walked up to the back of the house, then they disappeared along my basement. The prints reappear again on the other side of the house and walked back to the woods where I can see a trail of it. Whatever it is, it stopped at the top step of the basement but did not go down as there are no prints on the steps. I did hear somethng outside last night and I thought it was the wind. I don't think these are prank from kids.

Tough to guess without pic - thinking of common animals as opposed to Suskquatch - Beaver would have 6 - 7" footprint and would appear to walk upright in tracks but just how it peds.

Sounds like a Chupacabra,

I have heard they may have migrated from Puerto
Rico.

Hhmmm interesting
The ABEs can also be the product of highly sophisticated genetic manipulations by human agencies. A Chinese-Russian scientist by the name of Dr. Tsian Kanchen, has produced genetic manipulations which have created new species of electronically-crossed plant and animal organisms. Kanchen developed an electronic system whereby he can pick up the bioenergetic field of the DNA of living organisms and transfer it electronically to other living organisms. By these means he has created incredible new breeds of ducks/chickens, with physical characteristics of both species; goats/rabbits, and new breeds of plants such as corn/wheat, peanut/sunflower seeds and cucumber/watermelons. These are produced by linking the genetic data of different living organisms contained in their bioenergetic fields by means of ultra-high frequencies biological linking. If the Russians have created this technology, then without doubt the US and other powers have too. Therefore, it is quite possible that the "Chupacabras" or ABEs could have been developed by humans. lots of animals gait lands their back foot directly behind and sometimes touching the front, which can make it appear as one big print.

How deep was the snow? any drag marks between the prints of each foot or brush marks inbetween the L and R (tail)?

Bears have spread to many areas, so don't discount that as a possibility.

My guess is a C.H.U.D., however...

chud.. yes. :D

can you :D describe the print a bit more. round? oblong? pads? you said 4 nails... i think bear has 5 but not for sure... definately dragging marks? some animals put their rear feet directly in the spots of the front ones...

No drag marks whatsoever. And no side to side prints, just straight like a human's except those four distinctive claws in the front. What puzzles me is that when the prints get to the house, they disappear. Then re-appear on the other side of the railing as if it walked on the rail. But the snow on the rail was not disturbed. Strange.

Definitely some big foot prints and long stride. I think bears won't have stride as far apart as two feet. Have no clue what that may be.

The following link may help explain this unnatural phenomena you have witnessed.

how long is this stride... longer then yours? you sure it's not two prints side by side or one after the other? you mentioned 7", i think, is that length? what's the width? what is the impression in the snow? is it flat? how long is that railing? snowdrift covering those prints?

not sure about your location besides MD. western part of your state could have almost anyting in it... eastern would be much less likely to be anything but human...

I might be paranoid, but the print you described, fits my exwife perfectly. Be afraid, very afraid, her bite is WORSE than death (because you suffer so much) and her lawyer will try to take your beloved Mercedes, believe me I know!

My first thought was the Jersey Devil; but that's supposed to have cloven hoofs, not claws... Any prints on the roof?

Odd creature resource: http://www.parascope.com/en/cryptozoo/index.htm

My friend and I used to spoof footprints in the snow at night. We'd wear felt-soled wader boots and walk gingerly in other footprints, then leave large, obvious prints out where aquaintances might find them in the morning. I think we'd have probably done crop circles too if we had any farm fields nearby and knew about crop circles (besides on the Led Zeppelin album cover)...

Have you or anyone in your house noticed any mysterious noises that may fit in the timeframe of these footprints?
