Depressed about Relationships with girls - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I didnt post here in awhile and just realized that the Open Discussion came back which is great.

Im 22 and have been trying to have a relationship with girls for awhile now....it just never seems to work out and my emotions are on a rollercoaster half of the time. Till this day I never had a real "relationship" with a girl....I went out with many to dinners and movies but nothing that we could call eachother "boyfriend/girlfriend". My friends tell me Im too nice to them and girls these days like a rough/tough guy. Im seeing one right now for a month and we went out alot....she called me alot and showed alot of interest and we clicked. When we talk she said it feels like she knew me for her whole life. It came to a point where I wanted to know where this was going and bamn once again I heard the line "i consider you my best friend" "i dont want a relationship". This happened in the Benz too LOL...I think even the car got dissapointed!

I know im only 22 and heard the line "many fish in the sea" but im getting frustrated now especially when for some reason all your friends have a girlfriend now in 2005.

Wait till you get married..............

Then you HAVE to put up with their mood swings.

In the meanwhile..enjoy what you have....when you meet the one everything is going to ckick into place.

Try to not focus on it...........women sense a feeling of despiration and run from it............when you could care less about it then they come running to you.

Good friends is even better. That way you can be honest about your feelings while having sex with her without any kind of retribution. That's what friends are for right?

So have a relationship with guys. If that doesn't solve your problems with girls, I don't know what will. In fact, some girls might even try to convert you. Either way, it is a win-win situation.

I must agree with Aklim, in that the more choices you have, the better!

It has been my experience that as long as you are looking for a "relationship", the chances of finding a decent one is virtually nil. Loosen up, enjoy life, meet lots of people, and eventually, the right girl (or guy, depending on what you are looking for) will come along when you least expect it.

With that in mind, if you are bisexual, you will double your chances of a date. You can dip into either pool, so to speak.

Or if you are a necrophhilliac, you can have a "date" by going to work at the morgue and they will never say "No" and you don't even have to buy roofies.

I agree with this advice, it is right on target.

While I don't agree with the philosophy that if it doesn't work out with girls, try dudes, I say keep at it. You are in college? If not, get there. You will find your niche. They are right about the desperation catch-22. No matter how disinterested you try to act, your hand will be revealed and they will flea (at the crucial time). I should know, I've been wallowing in it for a while. (But I've got a girlfriend now

)

Just keep at it. your time will come.

Better to have lots of practice than no practice at all.

It took me until I was 28 to find the one, and I date sporadically between it.

It took getting a Girlfriend for a few months, to then breaking up, and then just going out to meet people that I finally got hooked up with the one. The one I got hooked up with was actually on a blind date through a girl who works at my dad's office. Before then I felt the same as you. I would meet girls go out a few times, but nothing really clicked.

Cheer up, you are young, enjoy yourself, have your fun, and sooner or later the right one will be found.

Yes it is. Yes I am. What's your point? You say it as tho it were a bad thing. He gets some, the girl is compliant and doesn't remember. I don't see a down side to it? That is unless his date is a guy and does it to him first. But then, if he enjoys it, once again there isn't a down side.
