i'm a happy owner of a mercedes '92 190E 2.3 (5-Speed)
i get my parts from warehouses where i can get parts up to 70% off, of retail
i am a DIY and so is my dad, so most of the maintenence will be done by us
my father wants a benz, V8 to be more exact, in the price range or $8000 to $12000 Canadian
i'm leaning towards a 400E, a '92 is the only one in the autotrader right now, in my area
my father likes the 126, so thats the other option, which one i'm not sure yet
also since he is a truck driver a diesel is the other option, he gets diesel at 60% of the price
which one? we looked at the 300D, '87 and up but since they are in high demand the prices are kind of high
this car might also be doing some towing, my dad's ultralight airplane in a trailer, the plane weighs 285 kg, without fuel i beleive
so can somebody tell me what they recomment and the reliability of these cars, also the hp and torque between the 400E's M119 engine and V8's of the 126 chasis, gas consumption, insurance differences perhaps plus anything else i should check out before buying one of these beasts

400E/560SEL/420SEL.. I would look at it at that order. However, I prefer the 560 but Im bias :p
