Any Metallica fans?

They are one of my favorite bands. I am not really into music and just listen to what I like. But I have 6 Metallica CD's for me thats a heck of a lot for one group.

Nothing like opening the windows and sunroof on a warm day and cranking up some good Metallica.

If every car at a stop light can not hear it you have to turn it up more, it helps to drown out that awfull crap that rappers turn out.

I also listen to a lot of classic rock, AC DC, Guns and Roses, Lead Zep, Skinner.

Big fan of their old "angry" stuff. Just watch that speedo when you're driving with it playing...

I used to love them when I went through my teenage 'metal' phase. Master of Puppets still sounds good. Lars is an idiot though, and the Napster thing comfirmed they'd dissapeared up their own arses.
Has anyone seen the film? I hear it's really funny and a real-life Spinal Tap.

I love some of their stuff, but in my opinion And Justice For All was their last really great album. I got some good mosh-bruises at Metallica concerts 'back in the day' but think I'd get laughed out of a concert now, what with being old.

I refuse to watch their film. If I wanted to watch middle-aged men go to therapy, well, I would probably shoot myself instead.

Isn't that the truth! I swear Sandman sounds the best at 100mph.
Also a big no no in traffic, Jimmy Buffet is I-95 traffic music.

I like Here Comes a Monster, thats about it from their new stuff.

Old stuff (up to Black album) = amazing.

New stuff = sucks. Add Napster to the mix and they lost me.

Metallica is one of the very few "new" bands that I have bought CD's. I don't let the napster thing affect my view of their music.

I also am a classic rock fan mainly 70's & 80's: Older Scorpions & Skynyrd.

I won't support a band who has so much time on their hands they try to sue companies who provide a good product..............

I will listen to their music...but I won't pay a dime for it.

Scorpions....yeah....Saw them live in a triple billing concert at the Stanley theater in Pittsburgh, PA in 1979.

Only 1,000 seats...

Opening act.....Def Lepord ( First tour they played)
Second Act......Scorpions (Animal Magnetism Tour)
Third Act........Judas Priest (British Steel Tour)

That must have been one hell of a concert. I also saw the Scorpions in 1979 with Def Lepard as the opening act (they weren't even legal drinking age) at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago (very small theater with no reserve seating). Unfortunately Judas Priest wasn't on the bill.

Before the concert two guys got into a brall (they even started hitting each other over the head with the metal folding chairs). The bouncers back then cleared back the crowd, let the two guys beat the hell out of each other, then separated them. Now days they would have put them in the local jail and the two guys fighting would have sued each other along with the theater. So much for the good old days.

That was an awesum concert.....the best one I ever saw....

outside of the concert Pink Floyd had in Venice italy.....was at that one too....but damned if I can remember exactly what year that was..90-91 or 92, that was a close second

I saw Pink Floyd Twice in italy....Once in Livorno, and once in Venice
