Worst post......

I really can't think of one just yet, but which is the most uninteresting post ever posted in the OD?

Not including this one of course. :) I'm just reaching here guys.

Frank X. Morris 03-14-2005 10:33 PM

Howdy Plantman,
The "Can anyone do a carfax report for me" threads aren't real interesting.

ptoro01 03-14-2005 11:05 PM

Honestly, one of the most interesting to switch it around a bit was the time when I compared kirkV's elk eating to me eating his kid. We've been a bit soar since then, I wonder why.

By far the least interesting has got to be the pretty boys tread.

Peter

I don't think I'd put this in the "worst post" category, but does anyone remember CJ's "How far can you go?" thread. Can't say I've seen anything like it before or since. Pretty quirky.

BusyBenz 03-14-2005 11:51 PM

The persistent insurance salesman that pops up with different names here every couple of months selling cheap car insurance from out of Canada!

Plantman 03-15-2005 12:42 AM

There was one a couple years back(I may not post much, but I do read alot) asking who or what TLJ is?

I never really quite understood it, but it floated around quite a bit.

How 'bout the "bump" thread?

But it was fun.

G-Benz 03-15-2005 01:45 PM

Any and ALL of the Kerry-hatin', Bush-hatin' political threads during the very heated election year of 2004!

I hated OD during that era!

I agree with this. Political forums have not recovered and my guess is that they never will.

Plantman 03-15-2005 03:47 PM

Upon further observation, a bad one was the young guy recapping his "penhouse" moment. I was not surprised to see that one get deleted.

Didn't bother me per se, but I've never seen any sexually related material posted here.

On the diesel and tech forums, anyone that starts out with newbie....help....those are generally pretty redundant.

hmm, im pretty sure what i posted isnt as bad as some others ive seen on here...just for instance, what was the highest viewed, most replied to thread on this forum for a long time? not that it was bad, but it was fairly sexually related...im certainly not surprised mine got deleted though, what with the mass erasing of many topics as of late...in an open discussion forum...but thats the way they see fit to run it, so i say do what you gotta do....i dont come here for the open discussion much anyway...im usually in the diesel section looking for ways to fix my car's multitude of problems...but i just posted something i thought was interesting, something that definitely doesnt happen every day...i certainly didnt expect everyone here to cheer at the idea, and i welcomed the responses i got, whether they were chastising or praising it...i actually thought for a minute that i might get some insight as to why i do some of the things i do, especially your response, i think..if that was you who said i had a negative outlook on life....i thought it was a good story...sorry, plantman, that you felt it was one of the worst youve read...i aint mad at ya :)

and my least favorite to read, at least in the open discussion, is anything pertaining to politics....i dont think ive seen one that didnt turn into a pissing contest before long

Perhaps worst post was not the correct word. I was just surprised that it lasted as long and got as many responses as it did. Maybe Gilly liked it a little too much. :)

It just didn't make sense to me why someone would post that here, considering there is never any sexual postings.

It was interesting reading though. Next time use synthetic oil, instead of KY and we could hijack this into an oil thread.

Do you have some inside info on this? Is the ban now extended to no religious, political, or sexually based threads?

You never quite know what is legal around here and what is not. :(

Kuan 03-16-2005 08:47 AM

The penthouse story was pretty good. Experience is making a bad move and living to tell about it. I've never had a moment like that, never will. Secretly, I hope my son will but I'm not going to say anything about it. His Mother doesn't want him to get laid until he's 60 seems like. I think 16 is a good age, with some guidance of course. :) (he's not even 2 and I'm making plans for him already, damn good father I am huh? )

But I also recall some of you (not naming names) had pretty interesting first times as well, and although you weren't as explicit, you said it straight and to the point.

No clue. I just thought that given the "cleanliness factor" around here these past few months that it was odd that it be posted.

Things coul dbe worse. Over ob benz world, they curse at each other all day long.

KV must be having a blast.

Bring on more sex talk!

I remember that post. You really came across as some sick jack off. If it was my kid, and you made some sick comment like that, I'd come find you and smash your face.

Displine around your happy home must be interesting.

When I read that, the only thing I could figure out was the guy was a vegetarian and complaining about some guy eating elk (probably shot it himself), and tried to get the guy to see his pov by comparing it to the veggie eating the hunters son.

I agree, the guy needs a good punch to the face if he is for real,,,

American Beauty is a hollywood fantasy and in no way represents true middle America. The only emotionally well adjusted couple in that movie was the MALE homosexual couple.

Male homosexuals RARELY stay in a committed relationship, and speaking of committed, most of them seem like they should be. I have yet to meet, and I have worked and met alot of them, one homosexual couple that was happy and emotionally well adjusted.

The movie was pure fantasy.

The most well behaved, and well adjusted groups of kids in this country are those raised by parents who take a course called "growing kids Gods way" and it lays out exactly how and why and when spanking should be used.

Gee, I have the same lifetime experience with heterosexual couples . . . perhaps the sexes weren't meant to cohabitate exclusively.

Hey man, just letting the dude know that messing with or threatening people's kids might make them very unhappy. Surprised you don't feel that way yourself.

The thing I remember about it is the guy did it after KV posted a picture of his kid. Man, if someone's looking for the worst post, Mr. Ptoro wins it. The two of them had a pretty heated exchange after the guy said he wanted to eat his kid. IMO, the guy should have been banned. Posting stuff about hurting kids is crossing the line.

Yep, I'm convinced. Lock 'em all up in the asylum. Darn Homos having problematic relationships and being emotionally poorly adjusted. Give me a break.
