You will pour alcohol on a jellyfish sting only once before you know it's a real bad idea. I've been diving and racing catamarans since the mid sixties and the only thing that I have seen that helps is a concoction of meat tenderizer and lidocaine.

I surfaced with one stuck between my regulator and the back of my head once. I saw another fellow surface with one on his head.

Of course, I haven't seen everything, eh?

I have to put a fair amount of vermouth in to make up for all of those people who think that opening the bottle in the same room as the drink is sufficient...

As an ex beach lifeguard, we used vinegar and water as well as meat tenderizer but the vinegar and water worked best and was much less expensive.

What excellent taste you have sir. Internal use only. I think the British Isles, as well as other civilized places, may have laws against external usage, spillage, and other wasteful practices.

My personal favorite now is Stockholm Kristal, available from Trader Joes and Safeway for about 12.99. Head and shoulders above anything at its price point in smoothness IMHO. I find it comparable or better than Absolute in terms of smoothness, although I havnt tried the Goose to make a comparison. As for drinks, one to one mix with sprite on the rocks is good for me. A splash of cran can make it a little tastier though.

Quite RIGHT! Skyy Vodka is the best for a reason. Vodka can have several bad biproducts from distilling. It's these impurities that can make your hangove 10 times worse. Expensive vodkas rely on expensive advertising. The fact that they are imprted doesn't mean anything!
