Terri Schiavo dies at 41

Well looks like the bad guys win again. Only in the USA can you starve a person to death who has not committed a crime. Ted Bundy had an easier death than that poor women.

While I do not agree with the method used, I agree with the outcome.

I think Medmech said that dog get put to sleep more humanely that what was done to her.

I wouldn't want to put my family thru that for 15 years, especially if I knew there was no hope for me.

Nor would I want them to put me thru the same, given the same circumstances.

Maybe they can go forward with their lives now.

Actually, she died at 26. Now her body can rest in peace with her mind.

I am not sure that you can be inhumane to a breathing corpse.

Priorities once again, I wish they had spent all those wasted millions of dollars on viable people who can't get the health care they need for simple things. This country is a mess.

Who are the bad guys and what did they win?

Can someone explain the living will, and, would it fact have helped in this case. I've heard that maybe a living will isn't all that's needed?

I know my father had one in 1996 when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer....and had to fight with the hospitol over it...he wanted no heroic measures...

My mom has the same thing....drawn up with a lawyer and sighned by non-family witnesses....

personally I would not want to be kept alive like that with no chance of recovery.

Thank God it's all over. She is no longer suffering and may rest with the Heavenly Father. The autopsy is next.

Breathing corpse....Hmmm....I will bide my temper for now. Why waste words that won't be heard?

Unhappy

It's a shame that the courts allowed a philandering husband to decide her fate. It is truly a sad day.
