Any other Ferrari owners on here?

Was just curious. I'm a Ferrari and Benz fanatic. I chat about Benzes on Mercedesshop, and Ferraris on Ferrarichat.com. Both are amazing cars. Was just wondering if anyone shares my two loves. I own a C240, and a Ferrari 348ts. Any other Ferrari lovers out there?

Hey you are over there too...............I don't own on but was there to research a 308GTS job I did last summer............I put the big warning up about a crook with a seriously neglected car in VA. I used my old name here Thevirginiadude. Haven't been there for a few months however.

I love Ferraris (especially the engine note ) even though I haven't been able to drive one yet. I have however had a white knuckle ride in a 1995 F355 Berlinetta owned by a good friend.

I snapped this photo in June 1996 on the drive home from the dealer with our brand new Toyota 4 Runner.....I tested the ABS in amazement to know that a F50 owner had just moved into our neighborhood and had their car delivered by truck Although, it turns out he had a 308GTS

By the way, how much does it cost to run that 348ts annually? How different are they than the F355's?

I'm here for you bro. If you need any more advice or motivation to reach your goals, just let me know

As to Ferraris, they are great cars. Our MBCA section is planning on a tour of a local restoration shop in July that has several Ferraris on the shop floor in various stages of restoration or repair. Saw a gorgeous Dino and a Berlinetta Boxer (carb version) at my visit there last week.

Cool cars, I look forward to owning one some day. I would really like an older one like a Dino, but a 360 would be extremly sweet.

My dream car is a 250GTO, I would sell my soul for one!

They are good looking cars........but mechanically nothing special....and certainly not reliable......some worse than others.

inagine having to drop out the entire drive train from under the car to replace a timing belt every 15,000 miles like with the Tesstarossa.

But they look so good, sound so good, and are so fast.

If you want a "cheap" car to run buy an NSX.

Oh they do look good....but many have serious rust issues......and thats not to mention the electrical systems make Lucas of the "prince of Darkness" fame seem like a total genious.

And if you think a seriously neglected Mercedes is expensive to own and keep running.....you ain't seen nothing yet.

The owner of a lightly neglected Ferrarri coined the phrase "Money pit".........a really neglected Ferrarri will make you convert to being a Memonite (AMISH for those who don't know)

Oh...and my Honda will Blow away a good running 308GTS....I have driven one several times and worked on one. Labor books call for 16 hours to replace the timing belts every 15K miles......I did it in 8 but I am quicker than the average mechanic sometimes.

I could never understand how a Ferrari could rust? Who drives them in the winter or rain? I would never drive a toy car on anything but a nice day.

I would imagin a neglected example will make you long for a beat S600.

I have been told Rolls Royce can do the same thing. $30k for the car and another $30k at the dealer to make it right.

well....most garages aren't heated and dry..........so you get condensation, and therefor rust.....even if you do only drive it on nice days the maintenance required is unbelievible......and very expensive...they require being constantly worked on....

My honda makes the same power on a motor 1/2 the size of the 308GTS..not the later 348 4 valve motors that have their own issues....particularly crappy fuel injection systems.

Why does it only seem to hit me in the middle of the night
You told me there's a number I can always dial for assistance
I don't want to deal with outside action
Only you can give me satisfaction
