how to get door panels off when door won't open??

So my sister in law has a 96 isuzu rodeo, pretty decent truck except for the fact that the rear doors no longer open. Apparently it had been broken into in the past and the wack job that fixed it never got the doors right. I'd like to be able to get the door opened up so i can see what is going on, but i can't figure out a way to get the door panel off, nor the door open. When you pull on the handle it makes the sound like it is going to release but it never does, its like the latch is severly, severly stuck. On a side note apparently one of the doors will sometimes open, but it is seldom. How do i fix this? thanks
Ryan

You may want to visit a junkyard...if you can find good matching panels for cheap its a non-issue.

Usually, you can unscrew the screws from the inside of the vehicle by using a skinnier, longer screwdriver. It will be difficult, but possible. You have to unscrew it at a sharp angle, almost parallel to the door. I hope that helps.
