Something to keep birds off of wires?

The little nook of our driveway where we park the Benzes is right below a telephone wire. Birds like to sit up there, and well, we have to get the garden hose out and clean up the roof and trunk sometimes. Is there something that can be applied to the telephone wires like spikes or something so that birds will not land and use our MBs as toilets?

We had a similar problem and solved it by leaving food (bread crumbs, pop corn, etc) every few days about 30’ away from the cars are parked. The birds elected to hang out above where we leave the food so no more bird droppings on the cars.

Some sort of a fake bird of prey closeby and in sight should scare off most birds except crows which are too smart of a bird to fall for that trick.

The BART system in SF had problems with pidgeons messing up their Contra Costa stations, so they tried the plastic owls/falcons, tried the spiked strips on the overhangs, tried the tape recordings of birds of prey calls, even tried the "catch & release" method . . . and each time the birds showed who actually had the "bird brains."

Won't work...............no ground path................you see birds sitting all day ling on the High Tension lines............strip the insulation on the line to the house and wait to see what happens next time it rains......or for those where it happens Ice or snow.

Besides that they would short together......all 4 of the wires from pole to house.

If you run a tight piece 12lb test fishing line in areas that bird like to perch it should take care of the problem.
