Best Toilet Bowl cleaner?
And I don't mean the most inexpensive illegal alien I can find.
There's a toilet that's been sitting for quite a while and works well, but REALLY needs to be cleaned. Is there any wonder cleaner anyone can recommend?

But not if you're on a septic tank system.

The Clorox wand and disposable scrubbing pads system works well but I've never used it on a toilet that has caked... uhh... stuff. I don't know if there's enough bleach in the pad to hard a septic system. What does bleach do to a septic system anyway?
How about that as-seen-oon-TV BAM stuff or CLR? Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

Depending on the frequency of use and concentration, bleach can kill the bugs that do the waste digestion in a septic tank system.

No septic we're on sewer, so anything goes. Straight bleach?

Just get some Comet or A-Jax and a toilet bowl brush. Oh, and some elbow grease

Best Bowl Cleaner
Before getting into IT, I owned a 13-man building cleaning and maintenance company. Part of our work was janitorial. We used commercial bowl cleaner with high hydrochloric acid content. If we ran out and couldn't get to the commercial supply place, Sam's Club had something comparable, but a bit weaker. Hydrochloric acid will burn your skin off, but it also eats off sludge, grime, calcium, etc. and your toilet will look like new. It will eat everything down to clear porcelain. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards - it's highly corrosive. I believe there are also some household bowl cleaners (Lysol, etc.) that have hydrochloric, but they're even weaker than the stuff Sam's used to carry.

I guess I'm not used to reading a thread in OD without BHD dispensing a political stab right about now!
Kinda feels weird...
