OMG these aweful soldiers.

I have no doubt that its been years since our soldier haters held a door open for someone. Well this is what the American soldier is all about.

Soldier survives attack; captures, medically treats sniper (Video)

Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer is a native of Mendon, N.Y. —
During a routine patrol in Baghdad June 2, Army Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer, a medic, was shot in the chest by an enemy sniper, hiding in a van just 75 yards away. The incident was filmed by the insurgents.

Tschiderer, with E Troop, 101st “Saber” Cavalry Division, attached to 3rd Battalion, 156th Infantry Regiment, 256th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, was knocked to the ground from the impact, but he popped right back up, took cover and located the enemy’s position.

After tracking down the now-wounded sniper with a team from B Company, 4th Battalion, 1st Iraqi Army Brigade, Tschiderer secured the terrorist with a pair of handcuffs and gave medical aid to the terrorist who’d tried to kill him just minutes before.

Make sure you watch the video so you can see what these "freedom fighters" are all about.

MedMech, I don't know of a single person that doesn't "support the troops" (even those with the yellow decals on their SUVs) and wishes that we can bring them home as soon as possible. It is criminal that they have been played as pawns in a political misadventure.

Please point out a "soldier hater" so I can send rude thoughts their way--I've never encountered such a critter in my travels.

These aren't the poor, illiterate kids some people make them out to be. Did you watch the video? Watching that really sets things straight on what is going on in each soldiers mind.

And I wouldn't elude that either of you are soldier haters.

I must also add that I attended a memorial this morning for a local troop that was killed so I'm a little touchy.

We just went through the memorial ceremonies for the Navy SEAL team that got killed in Afghanistan on the extraction mission. It's tough when you see a veteran Warrant Officer start to break down during his speech honoring his comrades.

and me.

I would've tracked down the sniper, cut his head off with a knife, and left it on a stick for everyone to see.

Yes I saw it....but my nature is to take out anyone who threatens my physical well being....

I don't think I would have the self restraint to save the guys life even for reasons of intelligence....not if I was wounded...but then, you'd really have to have been there to know for sure. I commend the soldiers restraint. I hope the scumbag coughs up some good intelligence.

I've been in a similar situation but not after the F-er put a bullet in my chest and I sure as hell wouldn't care for him unless he was the mission.

In other words if I were that soldier I'd pop a cap in his ass.
