hi guys,

i just bought a 1990 560sec.., and i do not really care for the intereior color of blue.
have any of you changed or had the interior color changed in your benz ?

i am wanting to change it to gray or the beige mercedes color..



any thoughts ?

I agree sell the car unless you can find a complete donor car....interior paint is an action of last resort..and only on trim when you have no choice..take my word for it...

i should have said, that i was planning on chaning the color by dying the leather, not replacing it..

See some of my previous posts. I restored the interior on my car. It will be quite a project, and cost you a good amount of money if you want to do it right, but possible.

I got a quote for a complete interior set for a CE from a yard in i think gorman for about 2000? Somewhere in there. had seats and all the panels, etc. if you traded, it might be pretty close to cheap.

It CAN be done if you are easily pleased abd don't expect to drive it long....

THEN you will be REALLY unhappy with it.if you used it for very long...

Only way to be happy and have it last is donor car swap.

Why do you get the Idea I was slamming you? Becasue I wasn't.

I am speaking from Personal experience and that of my brother who has done it.(and it was professionally applied).the spray dye for a colorchange is not long lasting...and not a cure all...
