Framed

Need opinions on Euro License Plates, to frame or not to frame. I'm sure there are both points of view on this

I always liked the frames that are specific to the make of the car, and maybe have a (European) dealership name on them. If you can find someone in Germany who's willing to pick one up for you, that would be kind of cool. Have you ever been to Germany? If so, try to get one from a dealership in one of the towns you visited. It'll be that much more significant to you.

Of course, the nice, clean look of a "naked" plate would accentuate the lines of the 190e 16v quite nicely, too.

It is in fact, going on my 16v. 16VUSA099. The tag is from Germanstuff4you. Their plates are "pressed" I've read others are decals.
As far as the frame goes, I've read that europeans only use the frames on the rear and screw "naked" plates on the front. But that could be said here in US too; and some people prefer the frame up front as well. I'm questioning because the plates do not have pre-drilled holes and I would not like to drill and later wish I had framed it. I know it's preference, but would like to see illustrations of both.
As far as starting a thread on frames; The tag is called a "vanity plate"

i bought some from a guy in germany on ebay, he can cusomize it with anything you want.

euro plates

as for the frame, if you have the frame, you will not need to put holes in the plate to attach it to the car, the frames can be found on ebay as well.

I'm going to add the frame. If I don't like it I can always "drill". I saw a Britain show last night where they were doing doughnuts in a Honda 2000. It had the frame in the front; so that's the trend.
