Gutter Apron

If you own your own home, or have ever cleaned out gutters... how many jobs have you found that have gutter aprons.

It's essentially a piece of metal that is installed under the shingle and bend DOWN into the gutter. The main purpose is to prevent water from going between the gutter and the fascia...

We don't typically have them here.

The shingles typically overlap into the gutter by about 1" or so. The water can't back up under the shingles, or down the facia, unless there is ice-damming in the winter.
