I suspect it is the same group every Sunday. They are annoying the heck out of me. So if this info is any good please do whatever you can to annoy them. :D

I don't think not allowing people to register on Sunday is a good idea. For one the spammers will just pick another day to do this; also why should new members be punished?

You're too nice Hattie. If I would have been in your place I would have sent them all of our posts to their threads. Just think we weren't even done yet.

I've tried to respond to some of these people with garbage, but the time it takes isn't worth it. They tend to not have any easy way to respond directly to them. I'm going to ignore them in the future (including making suggestions for them on this forum).

Then how about an IP ban? I'm betting the e-mail addressi are throw-away accounts, but forcing them to get around an IP ban (yes, I know it can be done, and I know how to do it, too. So there.) might make it more trouble than it's worth to them.

Well IP's change you can't always go by them. If you have a dail up connection you will have a bunch of IP's.

It really isn't that big of a deal it is just a little annoying.

Of course it's only a minor annoyance. Anyone who lacks the self-dicipline to just avoid opening obvious spam posts should probably take a break from the internet anyhow. I just like to annoy 'em back a bit now and then. That's why I run a program that allows me to filter spam e-mails and bounce 'em back as undeliverable.

Just do like the other forums. To register you must have a valid email address that your password is sent to.

I signed them up for email newsletters from gay porn and personals sites,and just so you don't accuse me of prejudice I included some stuff from Stormfront.org Rense.com Skolnick and other crackpots. :D :D

I don't have it with me at work but have you tried the IP tracing software? You can search it back to the provider and contact them and have the associated users banned by providing them proof of the spam and IP addresses (if the provider is willing to comply).
