Let me give some more backgroung info.
The collection agency or lawyer for the landlord sent my brother a statement in the amount of $7500.00 for 3.5 months of rent and clean up of the townhouse. My Brother made and offer in compromise of $2000.00
The LL responsed that his client declined the offer. Now the LL is sueing for $15000.00. In my opion my bro offer was more then fair since the property was rented out quickly 1.5 months. I don't think it will go to court.
I instructed bro to file the proper papers with the court $35.00 filing fee and dispute the chargers. Make another offer to the LL. If that fails try sueing for harrasment and mental anguish. I am starting to sound like a Lawyer.
