Anybody familiar with the Renault Laguna II?

Hi

We've just bought a 2001 Renault Laguna 1.8 16v Dynamique Estate.

Car looks nice and runs OK, but seems to have some computer probs.

Tyre pressure monitor seems faulty (not too bothered about this though). Keeps telling me different tyres are flat when they aren't.

Trip computer goes blank every so often and flashes. etc etc

I've read some horror stories about this car, but apart from these faults it seems a great car for the money (£5700).

Do they sell these in the States??

cheers

Renault decided many years ago that Americans were too sensible to buy their cars. I think it was something to do with having the radiator just behind the back seat that tended to alienate the US customer.

Given the current price of fuel, it might be a good time for the French to return to the US market with some of their small super efficient models. It might be a way they could get back at Bush.

I took the car out for a spin this morning. It took two trips around the block before the speedo started to work.

I wouldn't be too bothered if I thought this was all that was going to happen...

uh oh
