I haven't seen any of these long lines, but I wish there were so I could skoot past to the diesel pump and laugh.

None here. In fact, prices are going down again.

Some stations are running out of regular and mid-grade, but premium is usually available.

Prices are coming down a bit, but premium is still about $3.50/gal.

I filled up today at $3.13 for premium and feel like I got a bargain! Man, have things changed.

Howdy All,
The only line I saw was at a station that had prices that were 10 cents a gallon less than everyone else.

The long lines are forming at the bank's ATMs where massive amounts of cash are being withdrawn to buy fuel.

Please be so kind as to hold your hands above your head when you are being robbed, or buying fuel. Redundant, I know.

I was in Smart & Final and noticed they had 11 five gallon jugs of new soy oil for nine dollars each. Their cardboard carton was damaged but not the oil container.

I had about five gallons of reddish colored diesel in mine (red must be due to the marvel mistery oil, eh? ) As I was pouring in the first five gallons of soy oil, the engine quieted down like it had a shot of diesel purge.

Thanks to the motivation given to me by whunter, my biodiesel processor will be ready to start producing next month.

Hi Tirebiter,

I am pleased that you are doing your part to clean up the hideous diesel smog with your
new mix..

What about those who are still tied to the lighter grade of hydrocarbon that fuels 98% of the cars?
Are we going to take the oil companies word for what "World Prices" really are?
I would like to post an idea for a rotating boycott, but wonder if it will be allowed?

We can tell the futures speculators which direction the pump prices should go instead of
simply taking their word for it.

Is anyone interested in discussing this?

Ron

As of Friday it was north MS and AL as well... Wife went from Huntsville,AL to Starkville, MS there were lines and most stations only allowing x many $$$ of gas to be purchased. In Starkville 2/3 of the stations have no gas.

Went down to the coast on Sat and the last time I saw gas was Laurel. We drove by a station with the tanker filling it up, went through Arby's drive through, came back and there were 20 cars in line.

I think Starkville's problem isn't an actual shortage (MSU's fuel supplier confirmed no shortage as well) just everyone in town topping off their tank, and fools buying lots of gas tanks to store in their trunk "just in case."

I know how that goes.... I'll be a 4 semester "senior" myself . Something you might find interesting about what campus will look like about the time NO is rebuilt.... link

Haven't looked to hard, but there are still stations without gas around town...
