San Francisco gun ban???

Hello, here is a biased information bit from SF.

For the November 8 ballot, among other junk, is Proposition H (I best refer to this as Preparation H, the OTD for hemmoroids), the Firearm Ban for San Francisco.

The proposed ordinance was signed/supported by Supervisors Ammiano, Daly, Duffy and Gonzalez and put on the ballot.

(yes these particular sups are aluminum hat wearers from planet UrAnus)

Currently the City and County of San Fran further regulates State regulations on the sale of firearms and prohibits the sale or transfer of certain types of firearms within San Fran.

(nonetheless, the anti-social shooters have no problem getting firearms and the congested court system, prison system and lax-liberal district attorney gives slaps on wrists)

Preparation H would ban the manufacture, distribution, sale and transfer of firearms and ammunition within San Fran (nothing like repetition of existing laws).
Prep H would also prohibit San Fran residents from possessing handguns within the City. An exception would allow residents to possess if it is required for specific professional requirements such as sec. guards, police or active military.
The bored of supervisors would be required to enact penalties for violation of this ordinance. And it is open to ammendment later by 2/3 votes (easy for the nutty sups) if it is determined that its ammendment would further reduce handgun violence. (in other words when the ordinance does not accomplish squat, they will get more invasive in attempt to create artificial statistics for their agenda's favor)

By 1-April-2006 , residents would have to surrender firearms to police. (april fools folks!!!)

Even funnier is that 'Pink Pistols', lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people-LGBT- (not BLT) OPPOSE this proposition.

That's all folks !!

Loons by the Bay.:D

They may not realize that in SFO. That's near Berkley, you know.

Pretty good piece, had me going for awhile there. Why is it so believable when it's SF? :)

SF gun ban is banned !

Well, today the court decided that the City can't act in the State's business.

So, after causing the City to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, this idiotic ballot measure fails again.

John Daly, the embicile supervisor who got this on the ballot commented even before the vote that even if it got overturned by the courts, it was worth the mention anyway.

Expensive spit for a city that is broke !!!

gee all those schools that would have benefitted from all that wasted money etc. yak yak yak. the political agenda here suks. You can almost say it is queer !

...and you need a gun within SF city limits for exactly what, again? Is there choice snipe habitat residing in the Tenderloin, or grouse flushes in the North of Market area? I've spent a fair amount of time in the Bay area, and I can say quite honestly that I and none of my compatriots ever once felt the call of the wild - as in, the need to fire off a quick round - while either visiting or residing there.

Zeitgeist, I'd like to see you challenge Hollywood etal. for their glorification of the gun.
Murderer hero, villain power etc. Is there any correlation between behavior and viewed behavior on television and movies ? Probably, but don't expect it to get alot of press.

Everybody has their reason for owning or collecting guns. Thanks to the second ammendment.

My gun is a vegan. It shoots only at vegetables. My gun is a metrosexual.
It has no gender. My gun is sooo progressive ! But it is no actor. It has not appeared on screen......yet.:D

I am glad that you do not own a gun Zeit. Your depicted targets (.."choice snipe habitat residing in the Tenderloin, or grouse flushes in the North of Market..") are SCARY reflections of your dark subconsciouss:rolleyes:

For what it's worth, I do own guns, but I also don't currently live in a major metropolitan city.
