Mercedes Dealers near my house are scums

every time i call them for parts, they are at least 40% more expensive then the other dealer 20 miles away. I called and order a diesel timing Tool. the dealer near my house quoted me $398 and the one 20mils away quoted me $235. greedy littel bastards..now i have to make two trips across town cuz i have to pre-paid in person for special order parts.

Unfortunately they are bound by their dealership license to sell at those prices. A good parts man will acknowledge this and sometimes tell you were it can be obtained cheaper.

Join the Mercedes Benz Club of America and then use Caliber motors California. They will give wholesale prices to club members. Shipping is usually the same as State sales tax, which you don't pay. So its a good price. Also check the scum dealers to see if they have a club rate on parts.

I agree most of the parts I have gotten from Phill are OEM mercedes parts....at way less than dealer prices.

I was quoted 2 different prices for the same item, from 2 different parts guys; at the same dealer; When I confronted the parts guy with the higher price, he told me that they have the flexability to go lower......So the same dealer can charge lower prices...YOu probably just need to demand the lower price....
I did and got it.

Fastlane is awesome but it takes a while for me to get parts from them, if it werent for that, the dealer would get zero business from me...usually I can just go in and walk out with the part i need rather than wait 3-5 days. There are different situations to use either one.

Yup... I have bought from him and Phil @ Fastlane both. Excellent service in each case!
