Absofreakinlutely!! I must have seen them about 6 times so far. They are my favorite band. Every so often my college roomate and I get together for a concert. He's in SC and I'm in CA. Las Vegas was the last show we caught. Lucky me though, my wife loves Rush as well.

2112 was a fav. in high school... tape deck of the '82 granada was barely up to the challenge...
yyz was always a drummers wet dream- neal peart is probably the best rudimentary drummer to ever tour. |
Although my 1985 300D can hardly compare to the performance of a Barchetta, whenever I here the song "Red Barchetta" I just want to go drive my 300D very briskly on some not so straight country roads. :D
For my next birthday I need to tell my wife, "Honey, I am having a mid-life crisis and I need a roadster." I can not imagine that she would not have a problem with that, but the problem would be I would never get to drive it becuase she would be on the road with it all of the time. :( |

Thanks to you and the rest of you guys I've got the internal soundtrack or several Rush songs running through my head for the last few days:cool: It's OK though, it's Rush. |
I used to love Rush until I started doing the bar band thing years ago. After you play the same tunes 1000 times, it's hard to keep that flame burning. Some of it was pretty complex to play though, for rock anyway.
I remember seeing them live in the 80s when Getty was in his heavy keyboard phrase playing his bass, keys, and his bass pedals, and Neil with his drum triggers. Amazing what they could do as a trio. I've got all their stuff, but really, don't care for anything from Power Windows onward, although parts of Roll Them Bones was interesting. |
Rush...awesome!
First Chris you need more kilometers on your 300E. Can you go to the Liquour Store and get me some beer;)
Rush would have been way better if they kept John Rutsy as drummer;) When you have an hour and a half to burn, throw on Hemispheres and enjoy. Or maybe Signals, Presto, or maybe........or on my last road trip in the 500E, all 10 CD changer spots were Rush. That was a great trip. Listening to "The Necromancer" off of Caress of Steel at 180km / hour. Now that was a RUSH!:P Cheers, Shaun |

Maybe go pray in the Temple of Syrinx. Take a trip to Bangok or even the Twilight Zone. Take some Lessons but remember, you can't get Something for Nothing.....

I've been a Rush fan since the 80's.
On the topic of the later albums... Vapor Trails, released a couple of years ago, is really worth checking out! It's one of my favorites. [dorian] eclass210.com | sl-129.com | sl107.com | pagoda113.com |
